I am a pharmacist by trade, and also have a B.S. in Human Nutrition. I am a huge advocate of getting to the root of the problem, and not masking symptoms with pharmaceuticals. I believe lifestyle changes and nutritional intervention are the keys to lasting change.

I am a long time resident of Japan familiar with adjustment concerns and the differences between North American and Japanese ways of life and eating. I was originally trained in school psychology, and I have served as a crisis line director.

I am passionate about helping people end their struggles with weight and body image once and for all. As a lifelong dieter I understand what it feels like to be at war with your own body! My additional qualifications include being a Registered Nurse, an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and an Eating Psychology Coach.

Nancy Loeffler is the founder of Being With Grief. She has a deep desire to change the conversation around grief. As a mother who lost her teenaged daughter in 2000, she understands fully how grief is intertwined in all aspects of our lives, including our journey with food. She walks with you on your journey with eating challenges and body image issues helping you to unravel your unresolved grief issues as you go.

My mission is to offer my clients a safe place to heal and recover from the emotional and physical limitations that have been holding them back from Healthy Empowered Authentic Living. My passion is to help women who have challenges with their weight and body issues along with life and career goals. I'm a recovering alcoholic and an ovarian cancer survivor - so I've been faced with a few challenges during my life. As a result of the Training received from the Institute I am using new tools to love what is. I'd love to help you, too!

Although Nancy always had an interest in health and wellness, it was not until she became chronically ill with autoimmune issues and chronic Lyme that she began to study functional medicine. She then went on to study the psychology of eating to better support her clients with regard to eating habits and body image challenges. Nancy Uston-John is a Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, a Certified Mind Body Eating Coach, and an ISSA Certified Elite Personal Trainer. She obtained her MBA from Temple University and her BS from Elizabethtown College.

I was born in México City. I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and another in Accounting, among other Diplomas. At the age of 14 I became anorexic and from the time I healed (6 months later) until now I have been passionate about healthy living. After a lot of learning I became a Certified Health Coach and a Certified Eating Psychology Coach (Mind-Body Nutrition Coach) and I realized that a healthy body is not about punishing us and being in war with oneself...otherwise, a healthy body depends on how kind and loving we are with our own body. As someone who has suffered from deep-rooted body image issues as long as I can remember (and until I found Eating Psychology), I will surely be able to compassionately understand another person's struggles with them. I have a deep background knowledge in classical, transpersonal and integral psychology, and personal experience of living a yogic lifestyle for years in India. In my life, I have always aspired to complement my practical experience with scientific knowledge, and will continue to do so in my work with clients. I had always been someone to get sick often, which knowing what I know now is not surprising, but finally reached my illness breaking point in spring 2016 when getting out of bed each day felt a feat akin to climbing Everest. Chronic inflammation, low grade fever, indigestion...I had it all. I also had enough of the life of extreme stress, emotional eating, endless indulgence of my sugar addiction, and quickly realized if I didn't change something soon, being the always-sick person would become my status quo. So, I threw myself into the world of food as medicine. I am fully recovered from over 24 years of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, chronic dieting, exercise addiction, and hypothalamic amenorrhea. After completing a Fine Art's degree in Johannesburg (1989), I studied Colour Healing Therapy in Gloustershire, England. I developed an understanding that creative expression and the healing arts draw on the same source for inspiration. I realized the important connection between subtle energy and physical form - between psyche and body. I moved to London, and enrolled in an intense two-year study of various forms of massage. Through the years working as a Massage Therapist, it has become clear that physical symptoms are often deeper reflections of disharmony expressed by the body. There is widely accepted evidence that body tissue such as muscles hold memory traces of earlier experiences. And indeed, when looking from a Mind-Body-Nutrition perspective, we can mindfully approach issues including weight, body image, digestion, or immunity as creative and intelligent languages that are gateways to our own healing.

I am a holistic nutritionist who helps clients ditch the dieting mindset so that they can create a healthy relationship with food and make peace with their bodies.
