Darlene has 30+ yrs experience as a design / business professional. Since retirement she has been pursuing her life-long passion for cooking, using "food as medicine" for healing the body as well as the soul. In 2015, she earned 2 certificates in "Culinary Nutrition" & "Food as Therapy" from Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC.

My life purpose centers around the wisdom of Hippocrates; "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." If people felt more comfortable in their bodies, they would treat each other better and there would be more peace in the world. I received my initial nutrition education at Bauman College in Northern California. I hold certificates in Nutrition Education and Nutrition Consulting. It was there that I learned about nutrition in a one dimensional way. I also earned a BA degree at UCLA. It wasn't until I studied at The Institute for the Psychology of Eating that I learned how multi-dimensional the whole field of nutrition is. Food is related to every aspect of our lives - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. This opened up a very large area of awareness for me, to the point where I know I can really help people get where they want to go, wherever that may be.

I'm certified as a Food and Body Coach, Professional Life Coach, and an Energy Leadership Master Practitioner. I also have 30 years of Entrepreneurial and Small Business experience. And to round things out I'm experienced in Yoga, Meditation, Men's Work, and various mind/body practices. I coach because I love helping people live more fulfilled lives! We're all here to learn, grow and to live into our potential. When we do we inspire others to become truer to themselves. Being part of that process fires me up.

I specialize working with clients that have had a heart event or have been told they are at risk of having a heart event as well as clients that have been told they are pre-diabetic or diabetic. I am a mum with two teenage daughters, so for them and because of my own roller coaster relationship with food and my body, I have been studying nutrition, neuroscience and psychology of eating for years. My passion is to help others empower themselves to a healthy mindset and lifestyle.

After years of my own suffering with Weight, I've come to know that weight issues are more than just diet, exercise and "will power". I found the real reason behind weight challenges and now my purpose in life is to help people free themselves from the guilt and the pain in this area of their life and find peace and freedom! 

Dayna worked in the field of personal wellness for over 20 years. She worked with diverse populations, from injured athletes to cancer survivors, helping others "shift" their bodies and their lives. As a wellness director she ran annual Women's Wellness Weekends. Teaching and designing personal fitness & wellness programs tailored to individuals' needs.( including stress management, healthy food and lifestyle choices.) After receiving a Bachelors degree she attended the National School of Phytotherapy in New Mexico giving her a strong background in herbal medicine. Created and directs a private practice fusing yoga with weight loss programs, body building, and transformational body work. Her expanded repertoire of holistic personal fitness and nutrition coaching exemplifies her commitment to helping others rescript their mind/body relationship and transform their lives.

I have had a lifelong interest in nutrition and health. My college education and post-graduate studies were focused on human physiology, personal training, and health coaching.
